Seams

Seams
by Frederick Kazar Evans

My soul has seams
together in some places loose in others,
held lightly together but bound by gravity

Steadfast in determination jovial in effect
the road traveled, distractions everywhere
One step, two-step like a Family Guy. Oh My!

The bells have rung, years of fun,
weight gained weight lost
where did that mini van come from?

My soul has seams pulled tight in all places
this way that way all in the same direction
Bound by gravity filled with light.

Buzzed

By Frederick Kazar Evans
Buzzed by Inspiration - Prose Poem

It flies around buzzing here and there, we swat at it trying catch it, grab at it but miss. It taunts us with its ever-changing course nor fix or heading steered. Once alight so many chances do appear. We grasp it, hold it for that fear of the known, that it would soon break free, leave and disappear.

That fleeting chance how it comes and goes. That stubborn muse adrift in the ether, O how we yearn for its embrace. Inspired passion, creation and all the thoughts that explode buzzing here and there. We grasp it, hold it for that fear of the known, that it would soon break free, leave and disappear.

Buzzed by Inspiration

Flying around buzzing
my face and ears
no particular course set
no heading steered

Alighted in place
action inspired, off like a race
O how one loves its embrace
Thoughts explode with fast pace

So fleeting is the chance
How it comes and goes
Stubborn, with chance
adrift in the ether

I Remember

I Remember
by Frederick Kazar Evans

That move from there to here I remember it, somewhat clear.
We traveled for sometime up the mountain side late one night,
lights blazing in the sky, They dance around from one to the other
little figures moving about whispering in my ear.

I see my father, I see my brother transfixed and austere.
Traveling down the mountain side late the next night,
lights fading in the sky they dance around from one to the other
Moving great distances, from the old to the new
A scary thing for a child of just four years
